The Knog Blinder 900 is a solid choice if you’re looking for a high-powered, reliable, and weather-resistant front bike light. It’s ideal for those who need strong illumination and versatile lighting modes, though riders focused on long-distance night riding may want to consider the battery limitations on higher settings.
Will go for at least a couple of hours on high without needing a charge. Never tested exactly how long it runs for, but does me fine.
I just completed an exhausting 108km night race, and to make matters worse, it was pouring rain the entire time. I was riding in a peloton of 10 cyclists when, unfortunately, my Blinder 900 dislodged from its mount without me even noticing. The light was obstructed by my handlebars, so I didn’t realize it had dropped.
When I finally reached the finish line and inspected the mount, I saw that the latch was extremely loose. You can imagine my frustration and disappointment—I really loved that light, and I’ve always taken good care of it. It wasn’t cheap either, especially here in Malaysia.
Honestly, this is something that shouldn’t happen, especially with a premium product like this. I hope you can improve the quality of your mounts so others don’t experience the same frustration.
Best light ever
I bought this after looking at it for a long time and was super excited. However the mount is terrible, I was nervous because it didn't feel super secure even though I was putting it on correctly but figured it must be secure since it was so expensive and seems like such a high quality light. It fell off at 30 mph first downhill I did. The light itself seems great except it is all beat up now....
